Playing our way through the permacrisis...

These toy concepts were created for use as a promotional content for Sharp Sharp ahead of Toy Fair London. The theme is 'Playing our way through the permacrisis'. We identified the permacrisis as a key trend for 2023, and focussed on the UK healthcare crisis. The toy concepts are a satirical look at how parents can prepare their kids to cope themselves with the gaps in the healthcare system.

After experimenting with AI text ti image tool Stable Diffusion, we used Midjourney for the final images due to its superior ability to handle more conceptual prompts.

We have been testing out AI text to image and image to image tools for a little while now. They are improving rapidly and new features are being added incredibly quickly. However creating images to a very specific brief or intention is not always straightforward, and prompt-engineering looks to be a useful skill for the near future at least.
