It was a real pleasure to get back into the world of food when designing this digital brochure for celebrity chef management agency Deborah McKenna Limited. In the past I’ve created campaigns and marketing materials for TV cooking shows including Nigella Lawson, Jamie Oliver and Martha Stewart, which stood me in good stead for this project.
The brief was to create a luxurious PDF document aimed at the high end experiences market. With Michelin-starred and TV celebrity chefs including Tom Kerridge, Simon Rogan and Cherish Finden to be included in the brochure, expectations were high for a suitably high end result.
After conducting visual research into this area, I created the look by using clean typography, rich colours and sumptuous photography. This was punctuated with black and white portraits of the chefs and a curved linear background pattern which was used to complement the extended headline typeface and soften the otherwise perpendicular layouts.
